Community consultations on 3 development proposals
On Tuesday, March 24, please join me for a round of community consultations about three upcoming development proposals in Ward 20. This is an opportunity to share your views on new developments happening in your neighbourhood.
All meetings will take place at Metro Hall (55 John Street) in Room 304. The developments to be discussed are:
602-620 King Street West (6pm)
This mixed office and residential proposal was first discussed in 2011, but this is the first public update in over a year. This site is large and complex, with many heritage buildings and mid-block connections to consider, among other interests.
30 Widmer Street (7pm)
This is a new application for a 51-storey building that is mainly residential condo units in the tower with retail at street level. Parking is proposed above and below ground. This site is currently occupied by a small commercial building and surface parking.
23 Spadina Avenue (8pm)
This is a new application for two residential condo towers (68 and 79 storeys) sharing a single podium that includes offices and retail at street level with parking below. This site is currently occupied by the CityPlace presentation centre and a surface parking lot.
Each developer's presentation will be followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
I hope you'll join me on March 24 to hear about these new proposals and share your views on these projects.
