Road Closure: Lower Simcoe from Harbour St to Queens Quay

Construction of the new Lower Simcoe ramp will require an extended closure of Lower Simcoe Street next week between Harbour Street and Queens Quay.

Start: Monday, October 30 at 7 AM

End: Thursday, November 2 at 7 PM

Work Hours: 7 AM to 7 PM. There will be periods when very little activity is taking place due to freshly poured concrete curing in the roadway.

Pedestrian and Cycling Access: Pedestrian movement will be maintained along one side of Lower Simcoe Street. Cyclists will be asked to dismount for a short distance around the work zone where they will share space with pedestrians. Pedestrians and cyclists may also use alternative routes across Lake Shore Boulevard such as Rees Street or York Street.

Vehicle Access: Through-traffic on Harbour Street and on Queens Quay will not be affected. Southbound traffic on Lower Simcoe Street will have to turn west on Lake Shore Boulevard or east on Harbour Street.

Local Access: Lower Simcoe Street will remain open to local vehicle traffic from Queens Quay only, to serve driveways and laneways of adjacent properties.
