Rooming House Neighbourhood Consultation - Kensington Market and The Grange
The Rooming House Review is a City of Toronto initiative co-led by Municipal Licencing & Standards and City Planning in partnership with Shelter Support & Housing Administration and other divisions. Through this process, the City hopes to address issues relating to the condition and regulation of rooming houses in various neighbourhoods.
To ensure that everyone has a voice in the process, the City will be holding two neighbourhood consultations to hear from tenants, neighbours, and operators who are best able to offer a local perspective. The first of these meetings will address issues in Kensington Market and The Grange, and will take place on Tuesday, April 7 at 7pm at the Lillian Smith Library.
Please stay tuned for more information about the second neighbourhood consultation to address The Annex, Harbord Village, and the surrounding area.
I hope you can make it out to share your perspective on this important local issue.
