Deadline Extension: Toronto Youth Equity Strategy (TYES) MVP Youth Policy Table
The deadline for applications to the Toronto Youth Equity Strategy (TYES) Policy Table has been extended to Monday September 14th. We would like to extend the application deadline to allow for broader participation of MVP youth.
The Policy Table will be open to youth (under 30) with lived experience of violence, crime and/or the criminal justice system to provide input on policies, programs and practices at the City of Toronto that impact MVP youth (MVP stands for Most Vulnerable People, and is the acronym used by TYES to describe "youth most vulnerable to involvement in serious violence and crime").
Benefits to participating include:
- Have your voice heard and influence public policy and practice at the municipal level of government (speaking truth to power)
- Gain experience in working within a policy and government setting (be at decision-making tables)
- Develop employable skills
- Develop your networks
- Receive honorariums for your work
Complete applications should be submitted by Monday, September 14 by email to [email protected].
