Layers of Rush Lane: Pop Up Activation

As many of you know, last Saturday was 100 in 1 Day. The idea behind 100 in 1 day is to animate our city with visionary interventions to help spur conversations about how to build on our neighbourhoods through community driven change.
As part of this citywide effort our 'Layers of Rush Lane' pop up activation was a fantastic success. There was face painting and games for the kids, laneway yoga classes, a great band and the buzz of new ideas filling the air as walking tours meandered through discussing the latent potential of these underappreciated public spaces. It was great to see so many smiling faces coming together and we could not have asked for better weather.
Check out this great video of the mural that went up that day:
Finally, we could not have pulled it off without the support and hard work of the GDNA, WPNA, Queen Street West BIA and all the volunteers who came out and pitched in. Thank you to all who helped out preparing and especially to all of you who came out to participate – it was a blast and stay tuned for more updates!
